Tour description
Visit one of Tunisia's top attractions, the ancient ruins of Carthage, 1 of Tunisia’s 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in a single day.
Carthage was once Rome’s most dangerous enemy and bitter rival, reputedly founded by Queen Dido from Phoenicia. Today, the ruins of this settlement remain scattered among the area’s more modern construction. Fascinating ruins are found, such as the enormous Roman public baths near the seashore, the five-storey amphitheater where Christians were sacrificed and the Punic ruins of temples, monuments and columns.
